Boat Equipage - We are Ready to Leave!

Since arriving, we have lived on the boat and completed the following major upgrades/repairs/corrections:

$7,000 Complete re-rigging of the boat (done before we arrived)
$ 400 Repaired the hole in the bottom (sole) of the boat
$ 150 Got the Cruisair Air Conditioner working (required a new thru-hole be drilled)
$ 125 Got the Adler-Barbour Refrigeration System working
$ 120 Replaced the aft-cabin head (turns out it's cheaper to buy a new one than to get a rebuild kit)
$1,000 Had a complete servicing of the Perkins 4-108 engine done
$ 650 Travelled to Lakeland, Florida and bought six 4'x8' sheets of foam
$ 160 Bought a $20 sewing machine at the Goodwill, taught myself to sew and made a
complete set of boat cushions (fabric cost $140). For now, the sleeping cushions are
covered in regular sheets that are tucked under. I think we like this system better than
"hard-sewing" a cover with a zipper on them. Time will tell.
$2,300 Added a Harken MKIII Roller Furling System. My rigging guy, Butch Cloud, said it's
the smoothest system he's ever installed - and he's been doing this for 30 years!
$1,235 Added a 2000 watt inverter $325, installed 4 brand new Trojan 6volt golf cart
batteries ($400) and two 12volt starting batteries ($160).
Expert installation done by Grant Ball ($350).
$ 700 Added a PUR Powersurvivor-35 Reverse Osmosis Water Maker
$ 450 Added a Shakespeare 2030 Omnidirectional Marine TV Antennae($150) and a
17" HD-Ready Flat Panel TV from Target ($300)
$ 750 Bought a virtually brand new Honda 8hp outboard engine ($600) and an
Old Town Discovery Canoe (on a trade) for a dingy. Canoe is not really ideal for use a
dingy and will probably be replaced before we head out.
$ 650 Added an Air-X Marine wind generator
$1,280 Added a Raymarine SL-72 2Kw 24NM Radar System with 7" monochrome display
($1100) plus mounting bracket ($180)
$ 390 Charts of the Carribean and a handheld GPS
=======
$17,360 Total (so far)

We are, in effect, ready to leave. Now waiting out hurricane season.
Scheduled departure will be in mid-December. It is September 19th as I write this.
